Charles L. Johnson, 82, of the 3100 block of Shore Drive died Jan. 10, 1997, in his residence.
Retired from the wholesale optical business, Mr. Johnson was a Parkerton, N.C., native and member of Bayside Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Anne Bradt and her husband, Thomas Bradt, of Chesapeake; three sisters, Ruby Snell of Franklin, Louise Goodyear of Durham, N.C., and Virginia Johnson of Augusta, Ga.; and a grandchild, Tricia A. Bradt of Chesapeake.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Paul S. Carter. Burial will be in Great Marsh Baptist Church Cemetery, St. Paul, N.C., with graveside services at 2 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hope Haven or to a charity of one's choice.
