CAREER TRACK

ACCOUNTING

Sheri B. Anderson and M. Dean Cribb, both certified public accountants, were promoted to managers at Frank Edward Sheffer & Co. in Suffolk. They were formerly senior accountants - audit and tax.

BANKING

Mary Anna Twisdale was named administrative officer and office manager at Jefferson National Bank, Hilltop office. She formerly worked for Central Fidelity Bank and Cenit Bank.

The Bank of Tidewater made the following appointments at the bank's new Greenbrier branch. Gregory P. Marshall has rejoined the bank as vice president and commercial loan officer. Marshall, a certified public accountant, was previously employed at the bank from 1986 through 1991. Cathy Robinson, who has been employed by the bank since 1985 and was formerly assistant branch officer at the Laskin Road office, will manage the Greenbrier branch. Also, Douglas W. Fuller, an area manager with ABF Freight Systems Inc., was appointed chairman of the Greenbrier advisory board. Fuller was formerly a member of the bank's Battlefield Boulevard advisory board. And Jeffrey W. Ainslie, Scott M. Gandy, Robert D. Jones and Robert R. Kinser were also named advisory directors on the Greenbrier board.

CHAMBERS

The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, Portsmouth division, board of directors approved the following as new board members: Joe Donnelly of Norfolk Portsmouth Belt Line Railroad; Tom Farrell of Holiday Inn Olde Towne Portsmouth; Wayne Jones of Bon Secours-Maryview Medical Center, and Doug Smith of First Union National Bank. The board also approved Leo Shocklin as an ex-officio member representing the Midtown Association.

Also, the chamber's Portsmouth division's board of directors presented the Distinguished Service Award to two of the division's most outstanding volunteers of 1996. Don C. Campbell, board member, received the award for his personal effort to lead the education committee and Roger C. Reinhold, 1995 chairman of the board, received the award for leading the committee to reduce the Storm Water Maintenance Fee.

ENGINEERING

Deirdre P. Wells, Timothy T. Brown and Jerold W. Allen Jr. were named project engineers at AES Consulting Engineers in Williamsburg. Wells was a civil engineer with Lewis White and Associates in Virginia Beach & Brown was a civil engineer with Engineering Services Inc. in Virginia Beach. Allen is a 1996 graduate of the University of Virginia.

LAW

David H. Sump was named a partner with Crenshaw, Ware & Martin in Norfolk. He was previously a law specialist with the Coast Guard. He practices in the civil litigation group and will continue to concentrate in environmental and maritime matters.

Pamela Piscatelli Faber was named a partner at Kaufman & Canoles in Virginia Beach. She was admitted to practice in Virginia in 1989 and is a member of the firm's real estate finance section.

ORGANIZATIONS

The United Way of South Hampton Roads board of directors appointed Richard A. Hanson, chief executive officer of Bon Secours-Maryview Health Corp. and Herbert Haneman, president of Western Branch Diesel, to the board. Both members were appointed to three year terms.

Steve Snyder was elected president of the Hampton Roads Automobile Dealers Association. Snyder is vice president of Checkered Flag Motor Car Co. He succeeds Kevin McHugh, president of Hall Auto World, who continues on the executive committee as immediate past president. Clay White was named vice president of the association. He is the vice president of Starr Motors.

REAL ESTATE

Kevin DiBona was promoted to first vice president and director of the investment sales division of the Divaris Group. He will join the Divaris Real Estate's board of principals. He joined Divaris in the fall of 1993 in its office leasing division. In 1995, he transferred to the investment sales division.
