MILDRED C. POWERS

Mildred Bennett Collie Powers, 88, of the 900 block of Josephine Crescent, died Sunday morning, Jan. 12, 1997, in a Norfolk health care center.

She was born in Bluefield, W.Va., and was the widow of Virginius Nelson Powers. She was a member of Miles Memorial United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Jacqueline P. Cook of Virginia Beach; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Rosewood Memorial Park by the Rev. William H. Acosta. Memorial contributions may be made to Miles Memorial United Methodist Church, 9450 Granby St., Norfolk, Va. 23503. Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
