Catherine Jones Bell, 68, of the 2200 block of St. Denis Ave, died Jan. 10. 1997.
A native of Norfolk, she was the widow of Walter S. Bell and a member of New Union Chapel AME Church, Norfolk. She retired after 20 years of service from the Norfolk Naval Base.
Survivors include two god daughters, Paula Artis of Chesapeake, Shante Jones of Silver Springs, Md.; a god son, Reuben Clarke III of Chesapeake; and a host of relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in New Union Chapel AME Church, 1200 St. Julian Ave., Norfolk, by the Rev. Clifton R. Wilson. The family will meet at the church the day of the service. Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
