Herminia Inglessi Gabriel of Blueberry Road died Jan. 12, 1997, in a local hospital.
Born in Constantinople, she was educated in French schools in Constantinople and Egypt. She was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral and a longtime member of the Hellenic Woman's Club. She was preceded in death by a son, George Nicholas Gabriel Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years George Nicholas Gabriel; a son, Robert A. Gabriel of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; two daughters-in-law, Debra Gabriel of Kill Devil Hills and April Tellegen of Leesburg, Va.; four grandchildren, George Nicholas Gabriel III of Seattle, Brett Gabriel of Greenville, S.C., Robert A. Gabriel Jr., Nicole Gabriel of Kill Devil Hills; as well as two step-grandchildren, John and Christopher Kispert of Gaithersburg, Md.
A Trisagion Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, where the family will recieve friends until 8:30 p.m. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Granby St. The Rev. Constantine Rogakos, dean, and the Rev. Demetrios Kehagias will officiate. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
