LEGARE M. GROVER

Legare Marion Grove, 75, of the 4400 block of Hinsdale St., died Jan. 12, 1997, in his residence.

Born in Mobile, Ala., he was a retired general contractor and a retired major of the Army Corps of Engineers. He was a member of A.G.C.; Builders Contractor Association; and S.A.M.E. A U.S. Army veteran, he was a recipient of the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Stars and also a United Nations Service Medal.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Gossom Grover; two sons, Michael D. Grover, and his wife, Beverly of Tarboro, N.C., Legare M. Grover II, and his wife, Janice, of Suffolk; six grandchildren, Lori Grover, Nicki Grover, Michael Grover, all of Tarboro, Michelle Grover, Nate Grover and Barton Grover, all of Suffolk.

A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
