Davis Steward Dugger, 78, of the 6000 block of Arbor Court, died Jan. 12, 1997.
Mr. Dugger was a native of Butler, Tenn., and was a member and deacon of Bethany Baptist Church. He had retired as a welder from Beltline Railroad.
Survivors include his wife, Blanche Dugger; a daughter, Irene Evans of Portsmouth; a son, Troy Anderson Sr. of Corapeake, N.C.; a sister, Loretta Davis of Erwin, Tenn.; a brother, Folk Dugger of Mountain City, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Lori Weber of Annapolis, Md., Robert Evans of Suffolk and Troy Anderson Jr. of Corapeake, N.C.; and a great-grandchild, Chelsea Anderson of Sunbury, N.C.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel with the Revs. Gene V. Primm and Larry O'Brien officiating. Entombment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
