Bessie P. Gary, 71, of the 3800 block of Pughsville Road died Jan. 11, 1997.
Survivors include daughters, Shirley Hunter, Darlene Jones, Elaine Morings, Laverne Gary and Mildred Brown; son, Curtis Bailey; 10 grandchildren; an aunt, Annie L. Hines; four sons-in-law; and a special friend, Willie Reese.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Fisher Funeral Home, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Ronnie T. Northam Sr. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth.
