Terry E. Mathers, 44, of the Wayside area died Jan. 13, 1997, in Virginia Beach.
A self-employed carpenter, Mr. Mathers was a Portsmouth native.
Survivors include his wife, Deanna M. Mathers; son, Terry R. Mathers of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Danny Mathers of Norfolk, Harry Mathers of Virginia Beach and Mark Mathers of Chesapeake; two sisters, Mary Miller of Virginia Beach and Vickie Price of Norfolk; mother, June I. Legg of Virginia Beach; stepfather, Bertran Legg of Virginia Beach.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Riverside Memorial Park. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge.
