Shelton J. Belangia, 86, died Jan. 17, 1997, in Oakwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Currituck County, N.C. He was a retired salesman of Sealtest Co., Norfolk, and worked as a deputy clerk with the Virginia Beach courts for many years. He was a member of the Suburban Christian Church, Virginia Beach. He was a member of Corinthian Lodge (NU)266 and past president of Kempsville Lions Club.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Eloise S. Belangia; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may join the family at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Masonic rites will be accorded at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Suburban Christian Church, 5132 Bellamy Manor Drive, with the Rev. James Mead presiding.
The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Suburban Christian Church Scholarship Fund.
