Phyllis S. Horner, 51, of the 3700 block of Tait Terrace died Jan. 18, 1997, in DePaul Hospital.
She was born in Lynch Station, Va., on March 8, 1945, the daughter of the late Lena Ruth Scott and Charles Edward Scott. She was a retired manager for AT&T. She graduated salutatorian from Maury High School, Norfolk, Class of 1963.
Survivors include her husband, David A. Horner; daughter, Teresa Ann Standle of Virginia Beach; sister, Lynda Scott Emanuels of Lemoore, Calif.; sister, Delores Scott Revelle; brother, Edward Wayne Scott, both of Norfolk; and grandmother, Myrtle Maddox Kinney of Norfolk.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
