Christopher C. Pearson of the 2500 block of Graham St. died Jan. 18, 1997.
Mr. Pearson was the widower of Sylvia Pearson. He was a member of Mount Moriah RZUA Church, Newport News, and pastor of the church for 49 years.
Survivors include four daughters, Mary Jackson, Cora Lee Skinner, Janice Perry and Marjorie Devone; three sons, Carl Pearson, David Pearson and Andrew King; sister, Nannie B. Squires; 34 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; five nieces and other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Mount Moriah RZUA Church, 716 18th St., Newport News, by the Rev. Frank Parchall. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the residence. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge.
