Clyde Becker Hare, 77, died Jan. 19, 1997.
A retired safety officer for N.O.B., Mr. Hare was a North Carolina native and a retired lieutenant colonel in the National Guard and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Beryl Hare; two daughters, Carol Anne Hare of Norfolk and Susan Patricia Williams of Virginia Beach; son, Roger Neil Hare of Pennsylvania; sister, Mary Ellen Mills of Norfolk; stepsister, Ruby Paul of Florida; grandchildren, Ryan N. Hare of Virginia Beach and Christopher L. Hare of Virginia Beach.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Norfolk.
