Lucie Signe Bognes, 90, of Luther Manor, died Jan. 20, 1997.
Mrs. Bognes lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., until 1982, when she moved to Virginia Beach. She was a native of Oslo, Norway, and the widow of Leif Bognes. She was a life member of Sons of Norway and retired from Dimes Savings Bank of Brooklyn.
Survivors include her three daughters, Ruth Poulsen of Englewood, Fla., Marian Frank of Santa Fe, N.M., and Sonja Anderson of Virginia Beach; sister, Thordis Jacobsen of Brooklyn; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Luther Manor, Virginia Beach. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, is in charge. The family asks that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to the Plaza Volunteer Rescue, Rosemont Road and Plaza Trail, Virginia Beach, Va. 23452 or Luther Manor, 350 Malibu Drive, Virginia Beach, Va. 23452.
