Clarence Smith, 66, of the 3500 block of Argonne Ave., died Jan. 22, 1997, in a Norfolk hospital.
Born in Unicoi, Tenn., he was a retired self-employed plasterer. Mr. Smith was a member of Norview United Methodist Church and an Army veteran of Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Nevilee M. Smith; a daughter, Linda Sue Salzman of Virginia Beach; a son, Clarence Ames Smith of Granite City, Ill.; four brothers, Paul Smith of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Omerlee Smith of Ashville, N.C., Gene Smith and Fred Smith, both of Princeton, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Stephanie McVay of Virginia Beach, Jennifer Geary of Virginia Beach, Shaun Salzman of Virginia Beach.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel.
