MARGARET C. WRIGHT

Margaret C. Wright, 99, a lifelong resident of Norfolk, died Jan. 22, 1997, in Bayside Health Care Center.

A Norfolk native, she was the widow of Herbert Seymour Wright Sr. She was a member of Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church and was very active in the Mary Stamps Bible Class of the church and was a charter member of the Pamlico Garden Club and Daughters of the Confederacy. She was the daughter of the late Harry M. Cage and Madolyn W. Cage.

Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth W. Gibbs and her husband, Dr. William F. Gibbs of Norfolk, Stuart W. Hudgins and her husband, Letcher Hudgins Jr. of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Linda W. Blankenbaker of Gaithersburg, Md., John L. Wright of Winter Park, Fla., Lauren G. Cross of Salisbury, Md., David A. Havens, Daniel S. Havens, Catherine H. Wandell, all of Florida, Dr. Bruce A. Havens of Greensboro, N.C., Letcher A. Hudgins IV of McLean, Va., Jeffrey S. Hudgins of Virginia Beach; and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Caroline H. Dale and a son, Herbert S. Wright Jr.

A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Dr. John Monroe. Memorial donations may be made to Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church, Samaritan Fund, 6900 Newport Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23505. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements.
