Floyd Early Williams Jr., 63, of the 4200 block of Thistle Drive died Jan. 23, 1997, in a Norfolk hospital.
A retired electronic engineer from the Naval Underwater Support Lab, Mr. Williams was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a native of West Point, Va. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Saul Williams; daughter, Rebecca Williams Frenia and husband, Michael, of Morehead City, N.C.; son, Timothy David Williams and wife, Virginia, of Weeksville, N.C.; sister, Ava Williams Morgan of Roanoke; and five grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland.
