Joseph W. Doyle Sr., 96, of the 300 block of Lynnshores Drive, died Jan. 23, 1997.
A retired employee of Consolidated Edison, N.Y., with 50 years service, Mr. Doyle was a New York City native and the widower of Claire G. Doyle. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church.
Survivors include daughter, Jane C. Custer; son, Joseph W. Doyle Jr. and his wife, Theresa, of Ocala, Fla.; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Charles Cemetery, Long Island, N.Y. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, where the family will remain until 9 p.m. to receive friends. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Nicholas Catholic Church Building Fund.
