Paul Bridgers, 91, of South Street, died Jan. 26, 1997, in Roanoke Valley Nursing Home, Rich Square.
He was born in Northampton County, N.C., and was the widower of Josie Daughtry Bridgers. He was a retired farmer and member of Lasker Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Mack Bridgers; two sisters, Mattie B. Eure of Gates and Ruth Peele of Tarboro; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Lasker Baptist Church by the Rev. Charles Hulin. Burial will be in Lasker Cemetery. Garrett Funeral Home, Rich Square, is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to Lasker Baptist Church, Lasker, N.C.
