Barbara H. Nance, of the 1500 block of Campostella Road, died Jan. 26, 1997, in a Chesapeake hospital.
She was born in Nutley, N.J., and was the daughter of the late Charles W. Sr. and Madelyn Scorso Hoyt. She was the widow of Gerald L. Nance.
Survivors include her son, Gerald Wade Nance of Chesapeake; and her brother, C. Way Hoyt Jr. of Lakeworth, Fla.
A memorial service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in DeBaun Memorial Baptist Church, 1510 Campostella Road, Chesapeake. The Rev. Donald Joyner will officiate. Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, is handling arrangements. There will be no viewing or visitation. All flowers are to be delivered to 4710 Dermott St., Chesapeake, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday.
