Valarie C. ``Val'' Little, 42, of 3100 block of Camelot Blvd., died Jan. 26, 1997, in Bayside Medical Center.
She was born in Portsmouth and was a nurse at DePaul Medical Center.
Survivors include two daughters, Lezlie Hodges and Toni Little, both of Indianapolis; two sons, Aaron Little Jr., Gregory Little, both of Indianapolis; mother, Jessie Beamon of Chesapeake, and father, Willie Tate of Newport News; two sisters, Linda Butler and Edith F. Hardy, both of Portsmouth; eight brothers, Roy Tate of Baltimore, Md., Willie D. Tate of High Point, N.C., Victor Tate and Alonza Tate of Newport News, David Tate, Randy Tate, Rayon Tate of Oakland, Calif., Leander Tate of Kinston, N.C.; and a son-in-law, Carl Hodges of Indianapolis; five grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Greenlawn Cemetery by the Rev. T.M. Steele and Brother Alonza Tate. Viewing will be from noon to 8 p.m. today. Friends may join the family at Serenity Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Family and friends will assemble at 3117 Camelot Blvd. at 10:15 for the procession. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
