Virginia Power's Surry 1 nuclear reactor is expected to go back on-line Wednesday after shutting down to repair a small steam leak last week, the company said. Last Thursday a worker detected the leak in a 1.5-inch steam trap line that connects to a 30-inch steam pipe that in turn feeds one of the plant's turbine generators. ``No radiocative elements were involved,'' said Virginia Power spokesman Jim Norvelle. ``It was a minor leak and we fixed it.''(Bloomberg Business News)
