A Luray couple died when their car crashed into another vehicle that had crossed the center line on U.S. 340 in Page County, authorities said.
The head-on crash occurred Sunday about 3:10 a.m. The dead were identified as Steven Todd Beahm, 24, and his wife, Tammy Louise Beahm, 29.
The driver of the other car, a 16-year-old boy whose identity was withheld because of his age, was being treated at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, State Trooper C.L. Jenkins said. Tammy Beahm was pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband died in an operating room after being flown to the U.Va. center by helicopter, the trooper said.
