Sinclair Tuttle, 69, died Jan. 28, 1997, in a local hospital.
A retired computer programmer analyst, Mr. Tuttle was a civil service employee and a native of Charleston, S.C. He attended Burrows Memorial Baptist Church and was past worshipful master of Lynnhaven Masonic Lodge No. 220, Fleet Reserve member at large, and was a retired Naval chief petty officer.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn L. Tuttle; three daughters, Mary Ellen Willoughby of Richmond, Sharon L. Kennedy of Chesapeake and Catherine Anne Pendleton of Randleman, N.C.; two sons, Robert A. Tuttle of Hubert, N.C., Scott Sinclair of Rochester, N.Y.; brother, Melvin Tuttle of Bonneau, S.C.; sister, Doris Farrell of Miami, Fla.; aunt, Alfredda Eadie of Charleston, S.C.; and 20 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Don Harris. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Masonic rites and full military honors. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners' Children's Hospital.
