Elisha Carter, 71, of the 100 block of Bunche Blvd., died Jan. 23, 1997.
A retired painter at the U.S. Coast Guard Base, Mr. Carter was the widower of Alease Carter.
Survivors include a daughter, Rosalind Smith; son, Russell Hazelwood; mother, Hattie Carter; sister, Rebecca Gatling; brothers, Samuel Carter, Daniel Carter, Joseph Carter and James Carter; and a special friend, Willie Essie McNeill.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. The family will assemble at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
