NOMINATION DEADLINE FOR FIRST CITIZEN IS FEB. 22

The deadline for nominations for the First Citizen award, presented annually by the Cosmopolitan Club of Suffolk, is Feb. 22.

Anyone can submit a nomination. The only criteria is that the nominee be someone who spends a lot of time helping others.

This is the 40th year that a First Citizen will be honored. A banquet to honor the First Citizen will be held March 29 at the Holiday Inn. Tickets are $20 per person and are for sale at Village Drug Store, Chuckatuck; Commerce Bank, Main Street and Sentry Mart No. 1 on Pruden Boulevard.
