2 CITY OFFICES TO OPEN DOORS ON SATURDAYS DON'T FORGET: THE DEADLINE FOR BUYING CITY VEHICLE STICKERS IS FAST APPROACHING.

City offices in City Hall and Tower Mall will be open on two Saturdays in February so residents can pay personal property taxes and buy 1997 city vehicle decals.

The offices of the city treasurer and the commissioner of revenue in both locations will be open 9 a.m.-noon on Feb. 8 and 15. Deadline for display of the 1997 city stickers is midnight Feb. 15.

Personal property taxes must be paid in the office of City Treasurer James L. Williams, before decals can be purchased in the office of Commissioner of Revenue A. James Fillion, so the two officials agreed to have their offices open at the same time on Saturday for people unable to do business during their regular office hours.

Regular office hours at City Hall for both offices are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
