BARBARA WALTERS found time the week before her swirl of Inaugural engagements as the date of Sen. John Warner, R-Va., to do a little shopping. She popped into antiques shop Marston Luce in Washington, D.C., looking for a thank-you gift for a couple who had entertained her and left carrying a shopping bag tied with black ribbon.
An employee at the shop said the ABC ``20/20'' anchorwoman purchased a carved wooden dove perched on a turned spindle. The $65 doves are painted in a weathered white finish and are made by a decoy carver in Virginia Beach.
