S. ALAN YULSMAN

S. Alan Yulsman, 66, an attorney and certified public accountant, died suddenly and unexpectedly Jan. 29, 1997, at his home in Abington, Pa.

He was married to Mrs. Jo Barbara Cooper Yulsman, formerly of Norfolk, and was the son-in-law of the late Michael Cooper and of Sarah Cooper, also of Norfolk. Mr. Yulsman was a native of Philadelphia, Pa., and was the son of the late Benjamin and Daisy Yulsman also of that city.

Mr. Yulsman was a graduate of Central High School, a prestigious preparatory school in Philadelphia. He received a degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School in 1951 and Wharton Graduate School of Business in 1952. He served as an officer for three years in the U.S. Navy, aboard the aircraft carrier Leyte, based in Norfolk. He then returned to school and received his law degree from Temple University in 1961. At the time of his death Mr. Yulsman headed an important tax accounting firm and was a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, The American Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Mr. Yulsman is also survived by three children, Kimberly Brooks, a certified public accountant, and Laurie Kazenoff and Michael Yulsman, both lawyers. He is also survived by two sisters and four grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted by Dr. Samuel Sobel at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, 1997. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, will be handling arrangements.

The family requests that contributions be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 325 Chesnut St., Suite 1016, Philadelphia, Pa., for the benefit of Mr. Yulsman's grandson, Benjamin Kazenoff.
