Sallie Phelps Stillman, 90, formerly of Creswell, died Tuesday in Mary Immaculate Hospital, Newport News, following a long illness.
A native of Washington County born on July 28, 1906, Mrs. Stillman was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Snell Phelps. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Stillman Sr.
Survivors include her sons, George Stillman Jr. of Virginia Beach, Palmer Stillman of Chesapeake and Lowell Stillman of Baltimore; daughter, Dean Allen of Newport News; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Walker Funeral Home Chapel, Columbia. Interment will follow in Azalea Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
