LOTTIE T. NELSON

Lottie May Towles Nelson, 104, of the 600 block of Pine Tree Drive, died Jan. 29, 1997, in Riverpoint Rehabilitation Center, Virginia Beach.

She was the widow of Curtis H. Nelson and a member of Thalia United Methodist Church. Her utmost accomplishment was being a homemaker and providing the family with genuine love.

Survivors include her daughter, Ann N. Cooley, and son-in-law, Harold M. Cooley; two grandsons, Curtis Ray Cooley of Vancouver, Wash., and Randy Max Cooley of Virginia Beach; five great-grandchildren, John Cooley of Tyndall AFB, Florida, Peter Cooley of Vancouver, Brian, Mark and Lauren Cooley of Virginia Beach.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John M. and Mary Elizabeth Mercer Towles and eight siblings of Whitestone, Va.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Princess Anne Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to a charity of one's choice. The family will receive friends at 8 p.m. today in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. Family and friends will gather at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Cooley, 4013 Rumford Lane, Virginia Beach, after the service at 4 p.m.
