ROBERT A. KING SR.

Robert A. King Sr., 86, of the 4300 block of Fontana Ave. died Jan. 30, 1997.

A retired truck mechanic at Nu Car Carrier Inc., Mr. King was a native of Onslow County, N.C., and a member and elder emeritus of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, Virginia Beach.

Survivors include his wife, Edith Walton King; daughter, Ballie Rue Winters of Springhill, Fla.; three sons, Robert A. King Jr. of Chesapeake, Virgil Ray King of Seaford, Va., and Gene W. King of Surry, Va.; brother, Z.K. King of Raleigh, N.C.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Eastminster Presbyterian Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Robert Hobson. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today and at the residence at all other times.
