U.S. Rep. Eva. M. Clayton, D-1st District, recently received a commendation from the National Medical Association and the National Institutes of Health for outstanding assistance in promoting cardiovascular health in the African-American community.
The award was presented by Dr. Randall C. Morgan, president of the National Medical Association, and John Ruffin, director of the Office of Research on Minority Health.
Clayton has relocated her office from the historic Cannon Building to the Rayburn Building.
