Two more Green Run High School students have been arrested in connection with a shotgun that was found at Tallwood High School on Tuesday.
The youths, both 14, are believed to have stolen the gun in a burglary from a home in the 3900 block of Wilmington Court in Green Run, police said. In addition to the gun, other personal items were taken. A second home in the same block also was burglarized.
Police planned to charge the youths, whose names were withheld because of their ages, with two counts each of burglary and grand larceny. They were held at the Tidewater Detention Home overnight and, after a court hearing Thursday, they were released to the custody of their parents.
Four other Green Run teen-agers were arrested Tuesday after a police officer assigned to the school spotted students with the unloaded, 20-gauge shotgun at Tallwood High.
