360 Communications was the big winner at the 86th annual Meeting of the Elizabeth City Area Chamber of Commerce Thursday night.
Ginger Harris of 360 Communications was named Ambassador of the Year, and 360 Communications was named Business of the Year.
``The largest single corporate contribution ever received by the chamber is credited to this firm,'' said Guy Williams, outgoing chairman of the chamber's board of directors. The meeting was held at the Kermit E. White Center on the campus of Elizabeth City State University.
The chamber presented its first Excellence in Tourism award to Jim Nye, owner of Mulligan's Waterfront Grille. Volunteer of the Year went to Jean Baker, general manager of Adelphia Cable.
Linda Williams of Town & Country Real Estate is the 1997 chairman of the Board of Directors.
