In her Jan. 18 Business News article concerning the expansion of Tecnico Corp., staff writer Nancy Young describes the location of Tecnico as ``a deserted industrial park in South Norfolk.'' I would like to inform Ms. Young that the business park houses some of the most dynamic and technically successful businesses in the city of Chesapeake.
For years Industrial Avenue has been the home of many fine businesses, which include ASAP Compressor Corp., Brooks Electric Co., Coastal Masonry, Conrad Brothers Construction Co., Consolidated Launcher Technology Inc., Dozier Tank and Welding Co., SITECH Corp. and Woodbury General Mechanical, just to name a few.
The South Norfolk Industrial Park offers easy access to downtown Norfolk and the interstate highway system. We are proud of the progress that we have made in our industrial park and feel it is a great place to do business.
We are all happy at the success that Tecnico has enjoyed since locating here, and we are especially pleased that it decided to expand its business in the industrial park.
