Don J. Smith of Cypress Point Circle died peacefully at home Feb. 1, 1997.
Mr. Smith was a member of Talbot Park Baptist Church and the Fellowship Bible Class. He was the owner of Castle Cars, developed Indian Cove Campground and Lake Gaston Resort.
He was the beloved husband of Joan (Ronnie) Smith and loving father of Don C., Don J. (Jamie) and Donna Ashton, all of Virginia Beach. Survivors also include a sister, Mary Edna Brengle of Brandon, Fla.; numerous grandchildren and a great-grandchild; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his daughter, Karen Zoby.
A memorial service will be held at Talbot Park Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, in the Chapel, 6919 Granby St., Norfolk. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Dwelling Place, P.O. Box 6194, Norfolk, Va. 23508.
