John Odell Howey Jr., 59, died Friday, Jan. 31, 1997.
He is survived by a loving and dedicated wife, Grace Troy Howey; five children, Dwight O. Howey and Keith E. Howey Sr. of Jacksonville, Fla., and Yvette Howey Whitehead, Anthony D. Howey and Ron O. Coleman of Richmond; seven grandchildren; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Howey Sr. of Jacksonville, Fla.; four sisters; two brothers; a foster sister; a son-in-law; three daughters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and devoted friends.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Fourth Baptist Church by Dr. Leonidas B. Young II. Information provided by Fisher Funeral Home, Portsmouth.
