ANNA MAE SHIPP

Anna Mae Shipp, 87, of the 6100 block of Edison Ave., died Jan. 30 1997, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Shipp was born March 10, 1909 in Norfolk, the daughter of the late Maurice and Margaret Stephenson Cannon. She was a member of the Suburban Christian Church. She was the widow of Ellis Hillary Shipp Sr.

Survivors include her sons, Richard and Ellis Shipp Jr. both of Virginia Beach, Frederick Shipp of Windsor, Va.; a brother, William G. Cannon Sr. of Norfolk; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Altmeyer Funeral Home by the Rev. Mark J. Bender. Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made the Suburban Christian Church, 5132 Bellamy Manor Drive, Virginia Beach, Va. 23464.
