Linwood R. Yensen, 76, of the 500 block of Wittington Drive, died Feb. 1, 1997, in a Chesapeake hospital.
Born in South Norfolk, Mr. Yensen retired as manager of the print shop for Borden Chemicals with 36 years service. He was a member of South Norfolk Church of Christ, where he served as an officer for 40 years, trustee for 30 years, Sunday School teacher for 40 years and chairman of the board for 40 years.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth B. Yensen; a daughter, Paula Y. Johnson of Chesapeake; a son, James Yensen of Chesapeake; two grandsons, Jason W. Johnson and M. Brett Johnson, both of Chesapeake.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in South Norfolk Church of Christ by the Rev. John Keane. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The South Norfolk Church of Christ Building Fund, 2526 Rodgers St., Chesapeake, Va. 23324.
