Elgin Bunch, 72, of Route 1, died Feb. 2, 1997, in Leigh Memorial Hospital.
A native of Chowan County, he was a member of Hobbsville Baptist Church and a World War II Army veteran. He retired from Reed Oil Co.
Surviving are his wife, Marlene Clifton Bunch; two daughters, Beverly Edge and Donna Martinez, both of Chesapeake; a son, Mike Bunch of Hobbsville; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hobbsville Baptist Church by the Rev. Ted Clifton. Burial will be in the Bunch Family Cemetery. Harrell Funeral Home, Gatesville, is in charge.
