Merina Nise Evile, 12, of the 1300 block of Finchdale Circle died Feb. 2, 1997, in Norfolk.
A seventh-grade student at Salem Middle School, she was a San Diego native and a member of Samoan Christian Church, Washington, D.C. She was a member of the Strikers Soccer Team and played the violin in the Salem Middle School Orchestra.
Survivors include her parents, Faresa L. Sr. and Jennifer Lee Evile of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Maria M. Evile and Mareta M. Evile, both of Virginia Beach; brother, Faresa L. Evile Jr. of Virginia Beach; maternal grandparents, Raymond L. Guerrero Sr. and Muriel V. Guerrero of Oahu, Hawaii; paternal grandmother, Mereane Posini of Mililani, Hawaii; maternal great-grandmother, Agnes Texeira of Oahu; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and Moki.
A funeral will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Elder Iosia Evile. Burial will be in Mililani Cemetery, Oahu. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to 1313 Finchdale Circle, Virginia Beach, Va. 23464.
