Stan Prosek, 73, the eldest child of Peter and Pauline Prosek of Belgrade, Yugoslavia, died Feb. 3, 1997, after a brief illness.
Born in Albia, Iowa in 1923, he spent most of his life in Iowa and Dodge City, Kansas.
He is survived by his sisters, Mary Prosek and Rose Smith; many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews, all of whom loved him dearly. His kindness, gentleness, humility, generosity and love for all will be remembered always.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by Fr. Edward L. Richardson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
