Leeanna Spruill, 66, of the 1100 block of Sean Drive, died Feb. 3, 1997 in Maryview Hospital.
Born in Norfolk, she was the widow of Rochelle Spruill and a member and usher of Garden of Prayer Temple Worship Center, Norfolk, and participated as a missionary. She was a custodian with 12 years service at I.C. Norcom and Woodrow Wilson High Schools.
Survivors include four daughters, Alice Spruill, Cora Felton, Shirley Bly, Evyonne Mitchell, all of Chesapeake; three sons, Rochelle Spruill Jr., Donnell Spruill, both of Chesapeake, Milton Spruill of Portsmouth; a brother, Rev. David Johnson of Chesapeake; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; an uncle, Linwood Johnson of Chesapeake; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Garden of Prayer Temple Worship Center, Norfolk, by Bishop L.E. Willis Sr. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, will begin at noon Saturday. The body will be taken to the church prior to the funeral service.
