Mary Lee Joyce, 68, of the 1900 block of Ardmore Ave. died Feb. 5, 1997, in Orange Park, Fla.
A seamstress, she was owner of M-Lee Peele Fabrications and a native of High Point, N.C. She was the widow of Calvin Coolidge Joyce and a member of First Baptist Church, Asheboro, N.C., and attended South Norfolk Baptist Church, Chesapeake.
Survivors include her three daughters, Christine R. Miller of Jacksonville, Fla., Vicki Gray of Chesapeake and Susan Mary Hernandez of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Pearly Rives of Asheboro; three brothers, Clinton Peele, James Peele and Claudie Peele, all of Asheboro; and seven grandchildren. Mrs. Joyce was preceded in death by a son, Calvin Lee Joyce.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Frank Hughes Jr. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday and at the residence at other times.
