Irma Gertrude Parrow Sandifer, 77, made her final journey Feb. 6, 1997.
Born in Alburg, Vt., Nov. 13, 1919, she was the widow of Fairy Adolph Sandifer and the daughter of the late Peter and Maude Champagne Parrow. She was retired from F.W. Woolworth at Southern Shopping Center.
She is survived by seven children: Donald E. Tessier Jr. and his wife, Lisa, of Swanton, Vt., and his children, Katy and Eddie; Margaret Stephens and her husband, Richard, and their daughter, Lisa, and son, Richard Jr., his wife, Christi, and great-grandsons, Lee and Gregory, all of Virginia Beach; Sandra Jones and her husband, Raymond, and their children, Michael and Laura of Virginia Beach; Patricia Sandifer and her children, Adam and Tara of San Antonio, Texas; Donna Sandifer of Norfolk; Wayne Sandifer and his wife, Ruth, and their daughter, Sarah, of Yorktown; and Paul Sandifer of Norfolk; brother, Ernest Parrow of Springfield, Mass.; four sisters, Marjorie Galenski and Joyce Boucher of Northampton, Mass.; Hilda Krawczynski of Chicopee, Mass; and Bernadette Drebinger of Galt, Calif. She is also survived by a host of dear friends and other family.
Friends may join the family from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Revs. Donald Wilson and Daniel Davey officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
