Maurice ``Pee-Wee'' Wilson Jones, 78, of the 500 block of Pagan Road, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 1997 in Obici Hospital, Suffolk.

Mr. Jones, a native of Isle of Wight, was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and The Smithfield Union Masonic Lodge (NU)18. He retired from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in 1981 and had 25 years of service at Gwaltney Motor Co. prior to his naval yard employment.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Strickland Jones; three stepdaughters, Carol G. Darden of Newport News, Sharon S. Horton of Salisbury, N.C., and Lyndia S. Heward of Reno, Nev.; 11 step-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Colonial Funeral Home with the Rev. Jay Ashby officiating. Burial will follow in St. Luke's Memorial Park with Masonic rites. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church General Fund, 201 Cedar St., Smithfield, Va. 23430. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.
