Lloyd Martin Wiggins, 85, of Highway 32, died Feb. 9, 1997 in a Suffolk hospital.
A native of Gates County, he was a member of Beulah Baptist Church, a past deacon and served on the Board of Trustees. He was a lifetime memberof the VFW (NU)7312 in Sunbury. He was a retired farmer and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Doris Blanchard Wiggins; a sister, Dorothy Smirnow of Huntington, N.Y.; five brothers, Forest Wiggins, Marvin Wiggins and Clarence Wiggins, all of Hobbsville, Herman Wiggins of Gates and Winfred Wiggins of Chesapeake.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Beulah Baptist Church by the Rev. Ron Parr. Burial will be in Damascus Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Gates County Rescue Squad or Beulah Baptist Church Memorial Fund. Harrell Funeral Home, Gatesville, is in charge of arrangements.
