Teofila Marasigan Gatchalian, 80, of the 4900 block of Rosecroft St., died Feb. 8, 1997, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
She was born in Malumot, Paombong Bulacan, Philippines and was the widow of Marcelo Suerte Felipe Gatchalian. She was a homemaker and a member of Church of the Ascension in Virginia Beach and the Filipino Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Mila G. Capulong and Connie G. Olfato, both of Virginia Beach; a brother, Pablo Marasigan of the Philippines; and six grandchildren, Ariel, Anthony, Candice, Arvin, Paul and Michael, all of Virginia Beach. She was preceded in death by her mother, Anicia G. Marasigan and father, Florentino Marasigan.
A Christian Funeral Liturgy will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Ascension Catholic Church by Father James E. Parke. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Smith & Williams Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday and a Christian wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
