Annie W. Tuso, 78, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 1997.
Mrs. Tuso, the daughter of the late Ethel and Theophilus Whitley, was born in Edward, N.C. She grew up near Aurora, N.C., and moved to the Tidewater area in 1949 where she was employed by the U.S. Government civil service. After her marriage in 1950 to Charles Tuso, she became a mother and homemaker. She also worked as an Avon sales representative in Norfolk. Since the late 1970s she had been a member of Grace Baptist Church, Norfolk.
Survivors include her daughter, Margaret Oeschger of Akron, Ohio; her son, Michael Tuso of Afton, Va.; and four grandchildren. From her children, ``Mom, we will always remember your devotion to us, your determination and your love for the Lord.''
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Grace Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church of Norfolk, 3423 Sewells Point Road, Norfolk, Va. 23513.
